Diane had the original concept of shooting a giant pumpkin
documentary back in 2000 and moved on it, following her brother
and other members of his club for seven months. Just her, her
camera, and the grower out on the field, bringing forth the real
dirt on what it takes to win. Ms. Mettler is also a script writer
to the feature length Hallmark Channel film Growing
the Big One, also inspired by her brother's efforts in
giant pumpkin growing.
