Immediately hooked on growing giant pumpkins after first weighing in with a 416 pound pumpkin in a Clackamas, Oregon weigh-off, this married housewife will do anything for her pumpkins, and has sectioned off most of her backyard in hopes of growing the biggest giant pumpkin for this year's weigh-off. The competition will be tough, but Shellie is ready for the challenge.

Jack LaRue
Jack can admit his obsession towards growing giant pumpkins. A married fellow who has always enjoyed gardening, his passion has led to his wife's involvement. While the two will help each other out during the growing season, they remain healthy competitors.

Sherry LaRue
Sherry became involved in growing pumpkins due to her husband's obsession. Finding the only way to even see her hubby was to work with him out in the garden, Sherry took matters into her own hands when she realized she was doing a lot of the work and that it was time to start competing against him.

Geneva Emmons
Geneva knows how much fun it can be for children to see giant pumpkins. It's one of her main motivations for being involved in the sport. And she's not alone. Her husband Don also grows pumpkins and together this retired couple still find their hands full between May to September.

Brett Hester
Brett is a serious giant pumpkin grower. This single guy is in it to win, and to bring home a new record. His giant pumpkins come first, even before relationships, and sometimes that has caused him some heartache. Will it again be a factor in this year's journey to the weigh-off?

Paul Handy
Long time farmer Paul has only just recently gotten involved in the world of raising giants. Retired, Paul is content with spending his time tending his patch and watching his pumpkins grow. As it gets closer to weigh-off time, he has his son to help him out.

Kirk Mombert
Kirk is a seasoned giant pumpkin grower, but as a city firefighter he is often gone from his patch for 24 hours at a time. So though Kirk has learned a few tricks of the trade, he's also prone to serious problems arising that he has no control over addressing. How does that play into his strategy? One must watch to find out.
