FOUNTAIN HILLS WRITERS OPTION MOTION PICTURE SCRIPT
Fountain Hills, Arizona - October 12, 2009
Brian Hill and Dee Power , Fountain Hills based authors and co-founders of the consulting firm Profit Dynamics Inc., have optioned their thriller script Lightning and Shadows to independent producer Road’s End Films in Newberg, Oregon (southwest of Portland). The film will be directed by Robert C. Bruce, whose credits include the award winning adventurous drama From Kilimanjaro with Love, and the adventure/suspense mini-series Forests of Mystery.

How would it feel to be stalked by lightning? That’s the premise of Hill and Power’s Lightning and Shadows script, in which a small group of people who share the terrifying experience of having been struck by lightning are trapped by bad weather in a remote mountain lodge and become convinced the lightning is going to hunt them down once more. One member of the group, a young university professor, discovers that it was no accident they arrived there, and must overcome her own fear to lead them down the mountain to safety during the most horrific storm imaginable.

”Our goal with Lightning and Shadows was to dramatize the fear of being outside in a thunderstorm in the same way that Jaws did for swimming in the ocean,” said Brian Hill.

Dee Power adds, “Nearly everyone has had a close encounter with deadly lightning or been awed by its amazing destructive power. Lightning and Shadows will be an intense experience that will make filmgoers relieved to see a clear, starlit sky when they exit the theater.”

Director Robert C. Bruce, also creative director of Road’s End Films, says of the production, “Lightning and Shadows is an engaging and exciting thriller, and Brian and Dee bring fresh ideas and an entertaining slant to both a driven yet intriguing protagonist and a headstrong yet vulnerable lead female character. The story offers a unique combination of action, supernatural suspense, and thrilling situations, which combined with the awesome power and excitement of nature’s fury is sure to offer viewers one hell of a ride." The Lightning and Shadows project is planned to go into production in the summer of 2010.
