Festival
and Distribution news
December 31,
2007
As
the last day of 2007 draws to a close, the current standing of "From
Kilimanjaro with Love" is as follows: A total of 12 both high
profile and local film festival entries have been made, with no word yet
on 11 of them. Sundance declined the film, however the competition was
tough and Road's End Films congratulates all who have made it in to
their 2008 festival. Road's End Films is also currently in communication
with a handful of Hollywood distribution companies. Further news about
this will be posted as soon as any information is received.
Development
and early pre-production has begun on Road's End Films next project,
entitled "Deadwater", a thriller scheduled
to begin filming in the late spring or early summer of 2008 somewhere in the
Willamette Valley region of Oregon. Further information about that film can be
found here...

deadlines and decisions are made.
"From
Kilimanjaro with Love" also hosted a successful private screening
for over 400 cast, crew, friends, and family on October 13th at the
Bagdad Theater in Portland, Oregon. The film was well received and a lot
of positive feedback came from the audience. Road's End Films thanks
everyone for coming and for their input! Hopefully the next time the
film is on a big screen - its at a festival. Continue to check back for
updated news and information. Thank you!

Post-Production
Update
April 24,
2007
How
time flies. After principal photography there was no time to breathe
between cataloging props, tearing down sets, inventorying equipment,
finalizing paperwork, and getting starting on logging and capturing
footage. Now, almost two weeks after wrapping first unit, the footage is
almost all ready to be viewed, edited, enhanced, given a soundtrack,
added Foley effects to, and all the other post production work that will
turn it into something even that much greater. Stay tuned for festival
and film market news!

Production
Update
March 31,
2007
Well
into our second week of principal photography and things are going well.
Today was another aviation day; our private jet sequences were filmed at
the Aurora Airport, as well as some important store front footage in the
evening. So far, we've been able to stick mostly on schedule, with only
some minor script changes and two wardrobe malfunctions. Weather has
allowed us to keep our scheduled motor-scooter, 4x4 off-road, limousine,
and helicopter sequences. Our explosion, fight and chase sequences have
been wrapped, and footage is looking good. One more week and then post
production!

Pre-Production
Update
January 29,
2007
It
just takes a little time. Persistence pays off. Attitude is altitude.
Those would be some good terms to describe the continued pre-production
work that Road's
End Films plows forward with each and every day. As we are discovering,
making a movie is much like raising a child. It takes a community.
Therefore, we are open to questions, comments, remarks, contacts, and
general communication. Feel free to call or email us anytime. During
business hours of course.

Pre-Production
Update
January 21,

updates!
