November 2007:
Development
and some early pre-production for The
Briar Patch™ continues to move slowly forward as we negotiate
talent schedules, budgeting, and script revisions. Much of the past
year has also focused on another feature film project now completed
and entitled From
Kilimanjaro with Love™
which has been entered into several film festivals and continues to
gain it's own momentum. Please follow the link for additional
information. The
Briar Patch™ remains amongst the next few scheduled feature film
projects for Road's End Films - most currently in active
pre-production is the horror/thriller Deadwater.
October 2005:
Here’s
a question: What’s a movie without music? Answer: A stage play. The
true and powerful magic of a motion picture is that it takes the
viewer beyond the limits of the playhouse and the “willing
suspension of disbelief” and – by combining skilled actors, sound
effects, selective camera angles, and music – draws the viewer into
a world that sometimes feels almost more “real” than
“reality”.
For
The
Briar Patch™ we are fortunate to have located a number of very
talented musicians, from groups based primarily here in the Pacific
Northwest, to provide the various elements of our musical soundtrack.
Individually, their styles range from rock to rockabilly, and from
bluesy to punk. Collectively, their music wonderfully supports the
characters’ story progress from discovery to conflict and eventual
resolution.
Explore
the links to learn more about these talented performers and their
music. The groups appearing on The
Briar Patch™ soundtrack are: Ende, In Stereo, Jessie
Rae, The
Martindales, Not Long After, and
Ruby
Red. And there's even a solo
track by our lead actress, Claudia
Christian.
August
2005:
The
Briar Patch™ is officially in development. Pending schedules,
availabilities and pre-production, we hope to begin filming sometime
in 2008-2010.
